What is Language Access
What is the process?
How much does translation cost?
How long will it take?
How many words are translated per day?
Do you format the documents?
What is your quality assurance process?
Why shouldn’t I go somewhere cheaper?
How can I get in contact with you?
Language access is the ability to access services no matter what language you speak, whether through interpreters or translated materials. The lack of language access can prevent limited English proficiency individuals from reaching basic services, such as medical care, legal representation and social services.
Send us your information and documents via our online quote form. We’ll look over your documents and send you a time and price quote withing 24 hours. If you decide to move forward with the translation, we’ll tell our translators and editors to proceed.
Once the translation is completed, our project management team will look your project over for formatting issues. Your completed translation will be returned to you on or before the quoted deadline in the same format it was sent to us.
Translation costs vary by language pair, length, and technicality of language. Most documents will be quoted by a per word rate, so the larger the document, the more it will cost, though large projects can qualify for a bulk discount. Additionally, since there are fewer qualified translators, rare languages such as Rohingya or Dinka will cost more than more common languages such as Spanish or Russian.
If you send us your documents, we can get you a quote within 24 hours.
The time your project will take depends on the documents you send over. If you want to guestimate how long your project will take, divide the word count by 1,500 – 3,000 words (depending on technicality of language), and that is an estimate for how long it would take to translate your document. If you need it completed quicker, let us know, and we can expedite it.
For documents that are especially technical, it might take a bit longer because we want to make sure the translation matches the original register and meaning.
Send us over your documents, and we’ll let you know exactly how long it will take.
The average translator can process between 1,500 to 3,000 words per day. The speed of translation largely depends on the language pair, technicality of language, and several other factors. If an agency tells you they can process more than 3,000 words per day, we would recommend you start asking questions. They may be using two translators (which could cause inconsistency), or they may be severely overworking their translators. Just ask to make sure.
For no additional charge, we will format your documents to resemble the documents you sent over. Some documents may require a little extra design knowledge though, but we’ll let you know what that will entail when we see your documents.
All translations are edited and proofread by two translators. After the translation team has determined the translation is complete, your project manager will ensure the document is fully formatted. Our support team is available if you have any remaining questions after your project is completed.
Through our commitment to fair pay for translators, we attract some of the best professionals in the industry. Our translators are certified, trained, and highly experienced. When you receive your completed translation, it will be edited, proofread, and fully formatted to match the original document. You can go somewhere else, but our commitment to our translators means high quality translation services for you.
Additionally, 100% of our profits are dedicated to our community intiatives that increase language access by supporting limited English proficiency individuals and language professionals.
